Recycling Bin Models by Number of Compartments

2-Compartment Recycling Bins
2-compartment recycling bins are compact units for two waste streams. They suit small and mid-sized offices, staff areas and corridors. Examples: Ovata-420 and Ovata-421.
3-Compartment Recycling Bins
3-compartment recycling bins separate three waste types in one station. They are used in offices, schools, hotels and staff areas. Examples: Ovata-402, Ovata-431 and Ovata-437 with a battery box.
4-Compartment Recycling Bins
A 4-compartment recycling bin is the most common multi-compartment recycling station. It collects paper, plastic, glass and metal separately in one place. Examples: Ovata-408 (powder-coated), Ovata-400 and Ovata-433 with a battery box.
5-Compartment Recycling Bins
5-compartment recycling bins are for sites that separate more waste groups. Some models add a dedicated battery compartment next to the standard recycling sections. Example: Ovata-432 with a battery box.

Materials, Finishes and Lid Options
Ovata Steel recycling bins have metal bodies. Models are made from DKP steel sheet with an electrostatic oven-baked (powder) coating, and stainless steel models are also available.
As an example, the Ovata-432 has a 27 × 120 × 70 cm body made of 0.80 mm DKP sheet. Its inner buckets measure 25 × 25 × 65 cm, use 0.60 mm sheet and hold 40 litres each.
- Finish: electrostatic oven-baked coating; black models are available.
- Lids: open-top and spring-lid models.
- Battery box: available on models such as Ovata-432, 433, 434, 435, 436, 437, 438 and 454.
- Outdoor use: not every model is designed for outdoor use. Check the material and finish of the specific model, or ask us before ordering.
Recycling Colour Codes and Labels
Recycling bins use colour codes so users can see which waste goes where. The common scheme is listed below, but colour codes differ between countries, so follow your local waste plan.
- Blue: paper and cardboard
- Yellow: plastic
- Green: glass
- Light grey: metal
- Turquoise: composite packaging
- Brown: organic waste
- Dark grey: other waste
Clear labels and pictograms on each compartment help people sort correctly. Tell us your waste categories when you request a quote.
Where Our Recycling Bins Are Used
Ovata Steel commercial recycling bins are used wherever several waste types are collected at one point.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many compartments should my recycling bin have?
Choose the same number of compartments as the waste types you separate. A 2-compartment bin suits small offices and corridors. A 4-compartment bin handles paper, plastic, glass and metal. A 5-compartment model adds another group, such as batteries. Single-compartment models are also available.
What is a 4-compartment recycling bin used for?
A 4-compartment recycling bin collects four recyclable waste types in one station, usually paper, plastic, glass and metal. It is the most common multi-compartment recycling station for offices, schools, shopping centres and public buildings. The exact categories should follow your organisation’s waste plan.
What are Ovata Steel metal recycling bins made of?
Ovata Steel metal recycling bins have metal bodies. Many models use DKP steel sheet with an electrostatic oven-baked coating, and stainless steel models are also available. For example, the Ovata-432 body is 0.80 mm DKP sheet and its inner buckets are 0.60 mm sheet.
Can I use these recycling bins outdoors?
Not every model is designed for outdoor use. Suitability depends on the material and surface finish of each model. Tell us where the bins will stand when you request a quote, and we will advise which models fit outdoor use.
What colours are used for recycling bin compartments?
A common scheme is blue for paper and cardboard, yellow for plastic, green for glass, grey for metal and brown for organic waste. Colour codes differ between countries, so follow your local rules. Clear labels and pictograms help users sort correctly.
Do you export recycling bins to my country?
Yes. Ovata Steel manufactures recycling bins in Istanbul, Türkiye, and can export to every country. Send us the models, quantities and delivery country, and we will prepare a quote for your order. The quote also confirms the delivery time for your shipment.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery time depends on the product and the order quantity. Because it varies with each order, we do not publish a fixed lead time. We confirm the delivery time in the quote, together with the price, after we receive your model, quantity and delivery country.
How is the price of a recycling bin determined?
The price depends on product size, number of compartments, capacity per compartment, body material, lid type, inner bucket system, place of use, quantity and any project-specific requests. Prices are not listed on the website; request a quote for current pricing.
What information do you need for a quote?
